Stefan Ansermet

Christina Cain

Stefan Ansermet lives high up in the Prealps, surrounded by nature. He works as a mineralogist, researcher and photographer with, notably, the geology and natural history museums of Lausanne and Sion. His inquisitive and resolutely nomadic spirit makes of him an explorer: he loves books, traveling, the mountains, and the desert. Discoverer of several new mineral species, he has written various articles and books in this field, as well as two or three literary gems attesting to his love of riddles.

Having lived in various countries in Europe – as well as in Africa, the Middle East, and New Zealand – Christina Cain returned to her native Switzerland in the year 2000. She is fluent in French, Spanish, and Italian, at ease in Danish, rusty in Swedish, and mostly optimistic in German. She loves searching for the ever-elusive ‘perfect word’, and when she’s not doing that, she’s out enjoying and photographing the beauty of Mother Nature in the Lake Geneva area.
