Born with a congenital deformity, Michel Tirabosco was born with two atrophied arms. During his childhood, he found solace in music and decided to learn to play an instrument. At the age of seven, he chose the pan flute. He entered the Conservatoire at the age of twelve and was the first student to obtain a certificate in the pan flute. He has been giving concerts since his teenage years, around 80 a year, performing on the international stage and going on a world tour with André Rieu as a soloist. He adapts the classical and modern repertoire for his instrument and has released some fifteen albums.
